A Conceptual Map of “Nutrition”: Content Analysis of Uses in Romanian Mass Media and Scientific Articles Between 2014 and 2017

The National Institute of Statistics revealed that in Romania, in 2014, 46.4% of the population over 18 years were overweight and 9.3% were obese. Moreover, there is no lowering of these rates insight. The current corporeal state is put on the lifestyle that influences eating habits and, in consequence, nutrition (nutriție). In this chapter, we provide a first glimpse of the place that nutrition has in Romania by a conceptual map made based on the data gathered through content analysis. The analysis included all the Romanian articles from media and scientific journals, published between 2014 and 2017.
Precision measurement of the mass difference between light nuclei and anti-nuclei

The measurement of the mass differences for systems bound by the strong force has reached a very high precision with protons and anti-protons. The extension of such measurement from (anti-)baryons to (anti-)nuclei allows one to probe any difference in the interactions between nucleons and anti-nucleons encoded in the (anti-)nuclei masses. This force is a remnant of the underlying strong interaction among quarks and gluons and can be described by effective theories, but cannot yet be directly derived from quantum chromodynamics. Objective: Worries about health threatening effects of potential health hazards of modern life (e.g. electric devices and pollution) represent a growing phenomenon in Western countries. Yet, little is known about the causes of this growing special case of affective risk perceptions termed Modern Health Worries (MHW). The Red Palm Weevil (RPW), Rhynchophorus ferrugineus Olivier, accidentally introduced in the European countries facing the Mediterranean basin, is becoming the most serious pest for ornamental palms in the urban environment. In our work we tested electroantennogram (EAG) and behavioural responses of RPW adults to five selected synthetic palm esters: ethyl propionate, ethyl butyrate, ethyl isobutyrate, ethyl lactate and ethyl acetate. EAG bioassays showed higher sensitivity of female antennae compared to male antennae for test compounds. Differences were also recorded in the EAG responses using different esters and doses. Glacier drainage and sandur formation at Kötlujökull, South Iceland

Abstract Over a number of years research on a stretch of the southeastern glacier margin of Kotlujokull in South Iceland, 8 km in length, has focused on correlating the manner of glacier drainage with the genesis of sandar, exemplified by the recent evolution of the glacier foreland. The research has yielded the following results. During an initial period, beginning prior to 1945 and ending between 1966 and 1975, a belt of moraines about 1 km wide was destroyed in stages, except for a few remnants, by 11 outbreaks of subglacial meltwater at different times and locations along the glacier front.
